Westside Garden and Lawn, booking terms

1. You are booking my time, not a finished garden. Every booking is for a set block of hours at $60 per hour, no GST. If the work needs longer than the block you booked, I will tell you on the day and you can book more time. I do not carry on past the booked block without your say-so.

2. Estimates are estimates. Any price I give from photos or a description is a range, not a fixed quote. The final charge is the hours actually worked, rounded to the nearest quarter hour, plus any waste removal you have asked for.

3. Minimum bookings. One hour for regular clients (fortnightly or three-weekly visits). Two hours for one-off jobs.

4. Parking. Every price assumes I can park the van on the street or on your property within easy carrying distance of the work. If there is nowhere workable to park when I arrive, I cannot do the job at the quoted rate and the visit may be cancelled or rebooked.

5. Green waste. Clippings and trimmings go in your council green bin at no charge. If you would rather I take it away, standard removal is $45 flat for up to one van load (about one woolsack or a couple of bin-fulls) of clean garden waste. Flax, bamboo, cabbage tree, toi toi, palm fronds, gorse or broom in seed, soil, roots with soil on them, branches over 10 cm and anything mixed with rubbish are not covered by the standard removal and are quoted separately.

6. What I do not do. I do not take on section clearances, pre-sale clean-ups or large hedge reductions as booked jobs. If you ask for one of these, I will quote it separately or say no.

7. Access and hazards. Please make sure I can get to the areas being worked on, and tell me before the visit about anything I should know: dogs, sprinkler lines, buried cables, unstable structures, sprayed areas, wasp nests. Keep children and pets clear of the work area and the mower while I am working.

8. Weather. If it is too wet or windy to work safely or to do the job properly, I will move the visit to the next available day and let you know as early as I can.

9. Changes and cancellations. Please give at least [ROSS DECIDES: 24 hours] notice to move or cancel a booking. Cancellations with less notice than that, or a visit I cannot do because of parking or access on arrival, are charged at [ROSS DECIDES: the minimum booking for that job type / one hour / nothing].

10. Payment. Invoices are sent when the job is done and are due within 7 days, by card through the link on the invoice or by bank transfer to the account shown. Regular clients are invoiced after each visit.

11. Damage. I take care with your property. If I damage something through my own carelessness, tell me straight away and I will put it right or cover the cost of doing so.
